Washington, D.C. – Paladin Capital Group, the multi-stage, dual-use investor specializing in cyber, AI, and defense technology, is proud to announce that retired Air Force four-star General Mike Minihan will join the firm as a strategic advisor. General Minihan served for over three decades in the Air Force, including as Commander of Air Mobility Command, where he organized forces on urgent, high-impact operations including delivering weapons to Ukraine, sending humanitarian supplies to Gaza and security assistance to Israel, and completing the most demanding military exercise ever in the Indo-Pacific region. At Paladin, General Minihan will join a group of 17 strategic advisors with the experience in government, security, intelligence, and commercial markets needed to support the firm’s investments and portfolio companies.
“General Mike Minihan brings to Paladin more than three decades of experience protecting our country and democracies everywhere from growing risks, and we are thrilled to have him,” said Michael Steed, Founder and Managing Partner of Paladin Capital Group. “His expertise in coordinating complex military operations and global supply chains and his insight on defense technology are invaluable assets to our Strategic Advisory Group as we continue investing in cyber, AI and supply chain security and resiliency that will accelerate U.S. innovation and safeguard democracy for years to come.”
“It’s an honor to join Paladin as a strategic advisor alongside such an esteemed group of experts across disciplines,” said General Minihan. “With decades of experience in risk management, logistics, operations, and innovation, I’m prepared to support Paladin’s mission to fortify U.S. and allied critical infrastructure from evolving risks through the firm’s investments. Paladin Capital Group is leading the venture capital community in a movement towards safer, more secure investing, and I look forward to helping advance this important work.”
Prior to leading Air Mobility Command, he also served as Deputy Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, which covers over 40 countries in Asia and in an area with more than 50 percent of all global population and trade. Throughout his decades-long career, General Minihan led at multiple levels including squadrons, wings, and a task force, accumulating over 3,400 flying hours as a command pilot in airlift and tanker aircraft.
General Minihan now heads his own aerospace and technology consulting firm, Mavericks Advisors, where he helps executives manage risks and leverage opportunities in global operations, logistics, risk management, multi-domain integration, and innovation.
He also currently serves as a Senior Advisor to Reliable Robotics, an advanced automation company; a Senior Principal at Pallas, a national security consulting firm; an advisor to California Forever, an organization which will develop an energy efficient, modern community near Travis Air Force base in Solano County, CA; and an advisor to Beta Technologies, a pioneering aerospace company manufacturing electric flight. He is also Chairman of the Candy Bomber Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to inspiring America’s youth to pursue STEM, aviation, and humanitarian callings.
